We’ve created two free Android apps to make life even easier for you. To use our apps, you will need a Tacho Link dongle* to enable your digital tachograph to connect with your Android phone via a Bluetooth connection.

DOWNLOAD DUO MOBILE

The first of our free apps is Duo Mobile, which syncs with your SE5000 Exakt Duo and turns your phone into a second display, giving you real-time updates - including drive and rest time countdowns, as well as handy warnings to help keep you legal - on your phone screen.

 

DOWNLOAD TACHO CENTER

With our innovative app, Tacho Center, you can now manage and download all your driver and vehicle unit information - wirelessly. Compatible with any EU type Approved digital digital tachograph, data can be emailed to your computer or sent straight to your OPTAC tachograph analysis software.

New product - driver-only download blocks

Calling all OPTAC3 digital customers! In response to customer feedback, we recently launched a new product: Smartcard driver-only download blocks for OPTAC3 web accounts.

One digital download block gives you enough capacity to store 25 driver smartcard downloads.

Automechanika and IAA

Automechanika 2012 (11-16 Sept, Frankfurt, Germany)

This year at Automechanika we showcased the updated SE5000 Exakt Duo digital tachograph, OPTAC3 tachograph analysis system and digiDL remote download solution. 

The Frankfurt fair was also the first show to see our cutting-edge Optimo workshop platform. We ran presentations during the show and were very keen to get customer feedback. Optimo received a lot of interest. Our new “wireless” technologies – remote download, smartphone apps and Tacho Link dongle (launching in the UK soon) - were also very popular.  

Visiting a total of 4593 exhibitors from 74 countries, this year there were more visitors from Eastern Europe and Russia this year and fewer from the Euro area than usual. Which was good for Stoneridge, as we received strong enquiries from the Russian and South American markets.

IAA 2012 (20-27 Sept, Hannover, Germany)

IAA 2012 was our biggest show this year, and we joined 1,904 exhibitors from 46 countries.

This year we showcased the new "One Minute Rule" digital tachograph, the SE5000 Exakt Duo; our free tachograph apps for Android phones - Duo Mobile and Tacho Center; and the OPTAC3 tachograph analysis software.

Being a global supplier to market leading OEMs, we were also displaying our range of state-of-the-art custom Instrument Clusters, control devices, telematics systems and our capabilities for future development. 

IAA recorded a significant rise in visitor numbers this year, 260K people which is a rise of 9% since the last show in 2010.

Stoneridge will be attending two major automotive shows in September:

Automechanika—Frankfurt, Germany: 11-16 September 2012, Stand 3.0 G02.

The focus of this year’s Automechanika Show will be our updated SE5000 Exakt Duo “One Minute Rule” digital tachograph with in-built Duo technology, the decision support tool that displays real-time updates on driving and rest time. We will also be running short presentations to introduce our new OPTIMO workshop platform, which will be available for demo-ing. Visitors will also get a chance to demo our digiDL remote download solution, our recently launched free smartphone apps, and our OPTAC3 tachograph analysis software.

96% Customer Satisfaction with OPTAC Helpline Support

Here at Stoneridge we are committed to providing an excellent customer experience. So earlier this year we asked customers across 7 European countries to complete a short OPTAC helpline support satisfaction survey. 748 customers responsed with some excellent results:

* 96% of our customers are satisfied overall with OPTAC helpline support
* 98% are satisfied with the attitude and manner of the helpline staff
* 96% are satisfied with the accuracy of information provided
* 97% are satisfied with how Customer Support Representatives are able to answer their queries

Every year a high number of our customers respond to our surveys and the feedback is really appreciated as it helps us to improve our products and services.

OPTAC3 Web Customer Survey

We recently surveyed the OPTAC3 Web customers regarding the latest version, v4. 92.4% of all customers replied that they were overall very satisfied/satisfied with OPTAC3 Web, 16% of those replied with "very satisfied".

We focused on 4 new product features:

• 93% satisfaction with Daily Details Graphical Report
• 93% satisfaction with Faster Report Generation
• 94% satisfaction with the ability to Enable/Disable Working Time Directive Infringements
• 92% satisfaction with Ferry Interruptions and Driving out of Scope on Calendar View

The most useful feature was the “The Faster Report Generation” - 70% replied that this feature was very important/important to their fleet.

So if you haven't tried it already, we recommend a free trial for the OPTAC3 web product - from what our customers are saying, you won't be disappointed.

Stoneridge at the Motor Transport Awards 2012

Stoneridge attended the Motor Transport Awards in London last week, and sponsored the Dealer of the Year award. Congratulations to the winner, MC Group, a Volvo Truck and Bus dealer operating from eight sites across the south of England.

At this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show, Stoneridge will be showcasing its updated SE5000 Exakt digital tachograph.  As well as being 2nd source of motion ready, this digital tachograph will include new features to help the driver organise and manage driving time more efficiently with real time information.

This will help drivers to keep within the Drivers’ Hours legislation as well as maximising driver and vehicle utilisation and handling deviations from pre-planned schedules.

Not only will drivers benefit from the “One Minute Rule” time savings, but there is no extra cost for these extra features, which will come as standard in the new model.
