The new Driver CPC 2003/59/EC regulations are now in force for PCV drivers and will be coming into effect for LGV drivers from September 2009. All new drivers entering the industry who want to drive professionally now need to take the new Driver CPC initial qualification. Existing drivers are deemed to have acquired rights and will not have to take this part of the new qualification. The FTA have provided a flow chart which shows who comes under these regulation and those that are exempt.
